Ventro Group, a leading UK building compliance specialist, has announced the acquisition of R.D. Jukes & Co Ltd, a well-established family-run business with more than 50 years of experience delivering complex electrical engineering and compliance services.
Founded in 1968 by Roy and Eiryl Jukes, R.D. Jukes is headquartered in Walsall and has built a strong reputation for specialist electrical engineering services, particularly across the NHS and wider public sector. Today, the business is led by Julian Jukes and employs 29 people, generating approximately £6 million in annual revenue.
The acquisition brings significant technical expertise to Ventro Group across mains infrastructure, power distribution, standby power, UPS and IPS systems, emergency lighting, electrical testing, compliance services, nurse call systems, and other life-safety solutions for critical environments.
By combining R.D. Jukes' specialist capabilities with Ventro's wider compliance offering, the Group aims to provide customers with more integrated, end-to-end building compliance solutions, simplifying contract management and creating a more coordinated approach to critical building requirements.
Following the acquisition of HJS (Harrold Jones Services), the latest deal further reinforces the Midlands as a strategic growth region for Ventro Group, expanding its regional footprint and strengthening its capabilities across central England and beyond.
“Bringing R.D. Jukes into the Group is another important step in strengthening our presence in the Midlands. It reflects our continued commitment to the region and its role in the long-term growth of Ventro Group,” said Harvey Melvin, CEO of Ventro Group.
Harvey added: “R.D. Jukes is a business with an exceptional track record and strong cultural foundations. Their commitment to people, accountability, quality, collaboration and respect closely aligns with Ventro’s own values and origins. Preserving that culture while providing the platform for future growth and success is incredibly important to us.”
Julian Jukes, Managing Director of R.D. Jukes, said: “As a family business, maintaining our values and reputation has always been so important for us. Joining Ventro Group allows us to build on that legacy, while benefiting from the scale, support and opportunity that comes with being part of a larger group.”
The acquisition marks another step in Ventro Group's growth strategy, strengthening its position in building compliance while bringing together specialist expertise, regional capabilities, and integrated services to support customers across the UK.
