Two respected names in the UK property sector, Richard Mees and Eric Grove, have launched Redford Developments, a new land and development company based in Henley-in-Arden, Warwickshire.
The company enters the market with an active portfolio of 10 brownfield sites, capable of delivering 1,200 new homes and 80,000 sq ft of commercial space across the Midlands and South. Backed by significant private investment, Redford Developments will focus on strategic land promotion, planning uplift, and repositioning underutilised urban assets, alongside acquiring non-income producing commercial properties requiring refurbishment or redevelopment.
Mees said: “This new business has been formed to work collaboratively with land and property owners to secure positive outcomes for underutilised assets in urban areas. Being based in Warwickshire, our area of operation will predominantly be the Midlands and the South. Having spent 11 years together at Rainier Developments building up a formidable residential and commercial land portfolio it’s very exciting for Eric and I to be working together with a top team on this brand new venture.
Mees and Grove previously led Rainier Developments, which built a pipeline of over 5,000 homes and 1.2m sq ft of commercial space before its sale to Brydell Partners in October 2025.
With a six-strong specialist team and four key hires underway, Redford Developments is set to lodge four major planning applications this year and target the acquisition of eight additional sites.
A strong signal of continued momentum in the UK land, brownfield regeneration, and strategic development market.
